Our cotton shorts are made of a mix of Pima—the champagne of cottons, which is extra-soft and extra-durable—and modal, a natural fiber that's resistant to shrinkage and pilling. Together, they create a texture that’s as luxurious and velvety as a Sade song.

They're both! We’re glad you asked. Think of them as a combination between an old-school slip, a boxer brief and a bike short: They give you coverage under short or too-sheer outfits, stop your inner thighs from trying to start a forest fire, and light smoothing with no VPL (the word “panties” weirds us out, too). Plus, the knit-in cotton-rich crotch means you can wear them without underwear if you want, eliminating the need for an extra layer.

Thigh Society shorts don’t compress you or suck you in like shapewear. Instead, they’re a lightweight, breathable, sweat-wicking essential you’ll reach for again and again.

Best Under-Dress Shorts I Have... But did not fulfill all their claims

These shorts are comfortable, lightweight, and perfect for under dresses. They are seamless and I really like them. They are the best shorts that I have found for under dresses so far. However, for me they still roll down on the waist multiple times a day while I am wearing them. I tired different sizes and it still happens. I also feel like they run quite small compared to the size chart (although they are super stretchy). I like them, but think they are too expensive, especially since they claim to never roll down or ride up. If they did these things, the price would be worth it!

Overall opinion is "Wondereful"

This is my first order. Except the Ultra Sheer fabric, they are great and very easy and comfortable to wear. The ultra sheer pair however already has two holes in them. Consequently, I would caution against purchasing the ultra sheer fabric ones as this fabric is very fragile and may not last too long.

Smoothe Like Buttah and breathable!

This is my first pair of undershorts and let me just say… I LOVE these!! We just spent two weeks in Italy during the July heatwave and these were a total lifesaver under my dresses and skirts. I often forgot I had them on. They are comfortable, breathable, and the black is not too see through so when I was walking upstairs or crawling over rocks hiking in the Dolomites I wasn’t flashing my lady bits. They washed up easily in the sink and dried overnight. I needed to go up a size as the waist was too tight. Customer service sent me a free pair as a replacement and they are perfect. Thank you Thigh society! I am a total fan. I am 5’5 145 lbs and rectangle shape. 😄
