Well, to start, they’re silky smooth under any outfit. But more importantly, if you run hot—and are one of those people who’s constantly setting the thermostat to “meat locker” temperature—these are going to be a revelation.

Our slip shorts are made of hi-tech fabric that lowers the body temperature. (If you want to get geeky about it, the flat cross-section of the yarn offers a wide surface area that quickly releases body heat from your skin.) The yarn texturizing process gives the shorts incredible breathability; the finished ultra-thin fabric is a breeze to wear, literally.

They're both! We’re glad you asked. Think of them as a combination between an old-school slip, a boxer brief and a bike short: They give you coverage under short or too-sheer outfits, stop your inner thighs from trying to start a forest fire, and light smoothing with no VPL (the word “panties” weirds us out, too). Plus, the knit-in cotton-rich crotch means you can wear them without underwear if you want, eliminating the need for an extra layer.

These are great!

I did not have high hopes for these, but I am so glad I was wrong! These are AMAZING!!!!! Now that I've tried one pair of cooling shorts, I need a pair for every day of the week. I'm absolutely amazed at how soft & silky & COOL they feel (and I normally get super hot) , how they DON'T ROLL UP!! (every short rolls up on me!) and how they hold up in the wash. Lovelovelove them!!!!

Hem line shows--Not for me

Unfortunately, the product created a slight bulge where my leg and its leg opening met. I tested it under a dress and you could see the "hem" of the "short". Under a loose fitting dress or skirt, it would be fine, but for me, the slight bulge created on my thigh by the hem bothered me. I did like the material; super light and lots of it. I didn't realize that there was a no return policy, which I should have known since it is in the lingerie category. Luckily, a friend of mine who has a couple of the Thigh Society undergarments, took mine.

Nearly perfect! My summer lifesaver

I have a painful cyst on my upper inner thigh that requires me to wear a bandaid to cover it. Friction is a big issue because it can both inflame the cyst and rub off a bandaid. These shorts are so soft and light and keep the bandaid in place and me pain-free. They are so thin that I can wear them under just about anything. The only thing stopping me from giving them 5 stars is that the legs roll up often which can cause an uncomfortable feeling and unsightly lines under clothes. Even with that, they’ve been a lifesaver and I’ve worn them most days since I bought them!
