Well, to start, they’re silky smooth under any outfit. But more importantly, if you run hot—and are one of those people who’s constantly setting the thermostat to “meat locker” temperature—these are going to be a revelation.

Our slip shorts are made of hi-tech fabric that lowers the body temperature. (If you want to get geeky about it, the flat cross-section of the yarn offers a wide surface area that quickly releases body heat from your skin.) The yarn texturizing process gives the shorts incredible breathability; the finished ultra-thin fabric is a breeze to wear, literally.

They're both! We’re glad you asked. Think of them as a combination between an old-school slip, a boxer brief and a bike short: They give you coverage under short or too-sheer outfits, stop your inner thighs from trying to start a forest fire, and light smoothing with no VPL (the word “panties” weirds us out, too). Plus, the knit-in cotton-rich crotch means you can wear them without underwear if you want, eliminating the need for an extra layer.

Great product, bought a few now!

I was so skeptical about these. And really, my first order didn’t go according to plan. I bought the 7” m/l, and I’m 5’8 155lbs, big soccer player thighs. I found they rolled up and I couldn’t make them work. The company helped me and I went with the 9” and they are great! Eventually I went with the L/xl for a bit more waistband room but it hasn’t affected the rolling or anything. I wore these every time I have a skirt or dress on, and I love having them for travel. Eventually I’m going to try the cargo version for days when I don’t have a pocket.

My friend urged me to get these when I asked what is "a must" when traveling in a hot, humid country. I definitely get chub rub and did not want that ruining my trip. She mentioned the cooling shorts from thigh society. They are worth every penny. They kept me dry, did not run or tear (very sheer), and worked super well under my outfits. They also stay put unlike lots of spandex I would wear under. I plan to get the nude shorts next to wear under lighter clothing. HIGHLY recommend.

I purchased two pairs in this color because--at the moment, anyway--Thigh Society doesn't offer the shorts in purple and this is the closet I could find to that color. I wear a lot of athletic stretch pants and because my inner thighs wear out the seams I decided to purchase the Thigh Society shorts to give them a try. I love them! As promised, they never ride up and feel practically invisible that I forget I'm wearing them.
