December is always full of festive celebrations whether it’s with friends, coworkers or your family. It’s a time when we can pull out our most sparkly and colourful pieces to dazzle those around us with sequins, shimmer and bright hues. If you’re still looking for an outfit for a holiday celebration, we’ve picked some of our favourite styles to wear this month. Here are our eight favourite holiday outfit ideas.

1. Sparkle Shorts

If there’s ever a time to wear sparkly shorts, it’s the holiday season. They look especially nice with tights and boots to keep you warm, too. We love how this midsize creator styled her look with a black top and boots so that the shorts can really shine. Shimmer isn’t just reserved for your outfit — you can also apply a glowy lotion to your skin to pull the look together, with both your shorts and skin looking scintillating. Sometimes sequins can feel slightly abrasive on skin so we recommend a pair of soft shorts underneath to keep you comfortable. Our Staple shorts are our softest pair and guarantee you can sit, dance and walk all night long without feeling uncomfortable.

2. Fine Wine

Burgundy looks beautiful on all skin tones and we love how this creator paired her turtleneck (a winter staple) with a classic vegan leather pencil skirt and a belt for a little something extra. Her’s is black but a sparkly or gold one would make this look party-ready. Tights don’t always stop chafing from happening so if you want a little extra coverage and comfort for your thighs, a pair of our ultra-thin Cooling shorts are the ideal extra layer, and can be worn under or over your tights.

 3. Red Dress

@karlyrae8 will be wearing this to every single holiday party #reddress #redholidaydress #winter #winteroutfits #christmasdresses #partydress ♬ last christmas - 🎄

A form-fitting yet simple dress makes a big sartorial statement and is the ideal piece to wear to a holiday dinner. This red maxi dress also covers you up even when it’s freezing outside. Keep your thighs and booty warm with a pair of our Cooling shorts in the 12” length. They may be called Cooling, but they’re actually a great extra layer of coverage in the cool weather, too. Top the look off with a big bow in your hair to underscore that you’re a gift to those around you.

4. Metallic Midi

A metallic midi is so chic and easy to style — just pair it with a warm sweater for a festive look. Metallics are very on trend this season and the jewel tone this creator wears goes well with neutrals, like a gray sweater, or choose a sparkly top in a similar colour if you want to look even more party-ready. The skirt also allows you to wear a pair of warm leggings underneath if you tend to get cold without looking any less stylish.

5. Green Velvet

Green is another holiday hue we love, and a velvet dress is just right for the season. The mini length allows you to show off a nice pair of heels or boots, and the padded shoulders add a little drama to your outfit. Wear them with a nice set of dangly, sparkly earrings to your next holiday party.

6. Layered Reds

This outfit is a celebration of the colour red and shows that you can wear multiple pieces of the fiery hue for a cohesive yet cool look. Colourful tights are very in style at the moment and when worn with a red skirt, sweater and bag, they make quite a statement at any holiday function. Layers aren’t just for neutrals and December is the perfect month to layer the red pieces you have in your closet.

7. Sequin Blouse

You don’t have to wear colour to look festive and a black sequin top is a classic holiday party staple. This looks good with a pair of simple blue or black jeans, or opt for  a long black maxi skirt to create a fashionable ensemble. This top will always work for the holidays so keep it for the future — you’ll definitely want to wear it again when it’s time to celebrate.

8. Lamé Party Pants

Lamé is a shiny yet super comfortable material you’ll love wearing on New Year’s Eve. Wear a pair of statement high-waisted lamé pants with a neutral top if you love to dance and look like a disco goddess. You will dazzle your friends and family with this holiday party outfit.
